Which OTTO process does this page cover?
This page covers product-data preparation for an agreed supplier workflow. If you operate as a marketplace seller, start with the OTTO Market integration. Access, templates and responsibilities from one model do not automatically apply to the other.
Start with your trading partner’s current requirements: which category is involved, what data is needed and how should it be delivered? Use those details to agree how to prepare the output from your central product records.
Which data should your team keep separate?
| Data area | What to check |
|---|---|
| Item and configuration | Every size or colour can be identified clearly |
| Dimensions | Product and packaging measurements have separate fields and units |
| Contents supplied | Set components are distinguished from accessories shown in images |
| Media | Images and documents belong to the correct configuration |
| Languages | Text is assigned to the intended target market |
The mandatory attributes come from the current category requirements. Our furniture-dimensions guide explains how to avoid ambiguous measurements.
Prepare reusable output
- Record the current template or process description and the relevant category.
- Identify the authoritative data source and the people responsible.
- Map attributes, fixed values and value lists to the target requirements.
- Test a small selection containing different configurations.
- Review feedback, correct recurring causes and repeat the test.
For a configured template partner, you generate the output in shopvibes, download it and submit it through the retailer’s designated process. We use your requirements to agree the handover for your OTTO supplier workflow. This does not imply automatic portal completion or a particular API scope.
Example: a single chair and a two-chair set
A fictional chair is sold individually and as a set of two. Item number, quantity and contents supplied must distinguish the two products clearly. Whether the target category permits grouping them as related variants needs a separate check. The furniture-variants guide explains the shared data model.
What still needs to be agreed?
Product content, price and stock updates, and any further processes each have their own transfer scope. Agree responsibilities before rolling out the range. Even after output has been generated successfully, check acceptance and the data actually received.
