Distinguish Kaufland Retail from the marketplace
In the Retail model, you sell directly to Kaufland. In the marketplace model, you offer products through the marketplace. The shopvibes help centre describes different data routes for these models. Our Kaufland Marketplace integration is covered separately.
Data routes in the Retail workflow
| Data type | Documented route in the Kaufland Retail workflow |
|---|---|
| Product data | Transfer via the Seller Portal |
| Prices | Transfer via the Supplier Management System |
| Stock | Transfer via the Supplier Management System |
This distinction comes from the shopvibes integration guide. Agree your account’s configuration, field mapping and updates with our team. The guide describes a process without Excel templates, so a general template workflow is not an appropriate substitute for this integration.
Prepare product and offer information
Keep item identity, product features and media separate from changing price and stock information. Establish the authoritative source for each data type and who is responsible for changes. Your agreed Kaufland requirements remain decisive for specific mandatory fields and delivery terms.
A fictional table in widths of 120 and 160 cm illustrates the preparation: each configuration needs its correct product dimensions, while stock and price can change independently of the description. Maintain these values separately and update them through the configured route. This example is not an official Kaufland template.
Five steps to a test
- Confirm the model. Make sure your agreed process is Kaufland Retail.
- Assign data responsibility. Define sources for product data, media, prices and stock.
- Agree the integration. Clarify account access and the transfer scope for each data type with the shopvibes team.
- Check sample products. Compare the selected configurations and their associated price and stock information.
- Review the result. Check feedback through the designated processes and correct errors at the responsible source.
